Pasture type and use:
Yellowtas is suited for grazing, hay or silage.
Useful as a pasture, lasting 1-5 years as part of a pasture crop rotation.
It will regenerate from seed after a short cropping period of 1-3 years and can also be used as a longer term pasture in mixtures with perennial or annual grasses.
Rainfall:
Best suited to regions with 350-800mm of annual rainfall with a predominantly Autumn, Winter, Spring distribution and relatively little Summer rain.
Sowing:
It is very important to sow at a depth of 10mm to obtain optimal establishment.
Yellowtas can also be sown on a rough seed bed and rolled in.
Sowing rates:
5-10kg/Ha alone.
2-5kg/Ha in a mix.
